After extensive research Miele has launched its first bagless vacuum cleaner that eliminates common imperfections involved with emptying, maintaining and operating bagless vacuums.

Priorities for the design team at Miele was addressing the amount of air-borne dust that is created when a typical bagless vacuum cleaner is emptied, and minimising the care required to maintain its peak performance.

Sharon May, Floorcare Product Manager, Miele Australia says: “The vacuum cleaner is one of your best defences in managing indoor air pollution and can truly make life better and healthier.

“Miele wanted to create an efficient vacuum cleaner that stops particles and pollutants that have been vacuumed up from re-entering the air.”

Miele’s Blizzard CX1 does just that, by combining superior Vortex technology with a unique three-stage filtration and dust disposal system.

The Blizzard CX1 also incorporates other innovative refinements to improve usability and take the bagless vacuum to the next level.

Vortex Technology – Power in the eye of the cyclone

The vacuum’s exclusive Vortex Technology achieves airflow suction of more than 100km/h, drawing-up fine dust and heavy soiling in its path to achieve a superior cleaning performance.

“Miele’s vacuum cleaner design ensures that the combination of technology creates extremely high air throughput, leaving your floors sparkling and dust-free,” Ms May says.

Innovative filtration and dust disposal

During filtration, Miele’s Blizzard CX1 separates the fine dust from coarse dirt, so when the machine is emptied, plumes of fine dust are kept at bay.

Cleaning is so simple and hygienic with Miele’s ComfortClean function, which automatically cleans the fine dust filter when required.

“The self-cleaning system eliminates the real hassle of regularly removing fine dust particles. The big storage capacity for larger particles reduces how often you have to empty the vacuum,” Ms May said.

Adjustable Power

From timber floors, to tiles, to carpets in the bedrooms, vacuuming the home often entails cleaning a variety of different surfaces, each of which has their own demands.

The Blizzard CX1 enables you to adjust the suction power depending on where you are vacuuming. Symbols on the body of the vacuum indicate a variety of applications making the selection of the optimum power level simple. Depending on the model, the suction can be adjusted with a rotary dial on the body of the vacuum or a remote control on the handle.

Meeting your personal needs

In recognition that different homes and lifestyles need different solutions, Miele’s Blizzard CX1 comes in four varieties each with special features.

In addition to the base model, there is the Cat & Dog model for the animal lovers which features the TurboBrush to reliably remove hair and lint from carpets and rugs, the Multi Floor model that is ideal for cleaning all surfaces including the most sensitive hard floor surfaces and the Comfort model.

“To make things really convenient, the Blizzard CX1 Comfort model features a handle with a remote control, so you can switch the vacuum on and off and adjust the suction power according to the surface you are vacuuming at the touch of a button.” Ms May said.

Enduring Quality

Promising to be ‘Forever Better’, Miele puts all its products through rigorous testing and the Blizzard CX1 is no exception.

Prior to production, Miele vacuum cleaners are put through 16,500 jam and threshold tests, proving their casings and swivel castors are built for durability. Motor endurance is tested through repeatedly switching the vacuum on and off. The floorhead covers a distance of 2,000km on various surfaces and climbs a carpet-covered door threshold 60,000 times.

– Parking: A great practical addition, the floorhead and suction tube can be parked on the side if you need to pause mid-vacuum.

– Extra-long cord: The Blizzard has a large radius, meaning less time plugging and unplugging.

– Comfort telescopic tube: Features ergonomic height adjustment, making it easy to set to your ideal height, or adjust to reach under beds.

– Integrated accessories: Easy to use, two accessories are stored in a special compartment and a dusting brush is integrated into the handle* for skirting boards and cornices.

– Four castor wheels: Manoeuvre your way easily through the home with no toppling and excellent stability.

– Comfort cable rewind at the touch of a button: A single tap on the footswitch will quickly rewind the cord.
